We have worked with a diverse range of organisations over the years, one thing they have in common though is the desire to reduce their impact on the planet and its inhabitants. The below is a small cross-section of projects we have worked on recently:
sustainability training programme
We have worked since 2016 on the development of sustainability training for Hanson - one of the UK’s largest construction product companies. We developed a three day training course for their managers and have recently developed new versions of the training course for their plant supervisors, non-operational staff and road contracting operations
Large multinational construction company
sustainability strategy stakeholder consultation
We worked with a large construction company with helping them develop their sustainability strategy looking forward to 2030. This involved the development of workshops, presentations and data gathering. The process involved working with employee groups, senior executives, clients from across the construction industry and other external stakeholders. Issues consulted on included climate change targets, action on pollution prevention, social value, human rights and how the organisation should adopt the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA)
Development of training courses - for sustainability professionals and all employees
We have worked with IEMA for a number of years with work focussed on two major projects:
The development of the IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management (CEM) - a 120 hour taught course on environmental sustainability. This course is the main vocational course for sustainability practitioners provided by IEMA.
The development of the IEMA Environmental Sustainability Skills for the Workforce Courses - designed to help build capability in non-specialist managers and operatives.
ITV - Carbon Literacy Programme
We worked with ITV on a programme of climate change awareness training which was part of the wider Carbon Literacy initiative - this was designed to give everybody who lives and works in Greater Manchester a days training on climate change in order to understand how it impacts them and what they can do about it. We delivered the first sessions at Media City and helped Coronation Street to become the UK’s first carbon literate television production.
Institute of Cancer Research - auditing programme
We have worked for a number of years with the ICR at their campuses across London with projects mainly helping them implement their integrated management system. This has included compliance auditing, training of staff and emergency preparedness auditing. We also worked on a separate project helping with their preparations for ISO14001:2015
