Speedy Hire – ESG Business Partners Programme
Speedy’s ESG Business Partners project was co-developed and designed by Speedy and Watts Sustainability.
This innovative project involved selecting senior people across different business division at Speedy Hire to go through a bespoke green skills training programme to be able to effectively implement sustainability across their business.

Who was the client?
Speedy Hire is one of the largest UK-based construction tool and equipment hire specialists.
What did we do?
Working with Speedy Hire, we co-designed the ESG Business Partners Programme.
We selected over 30 people in senior roles across different business divisions and upskilled them with a sustainability qualification from the Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals (ISEP* Foundation Course in Environmental Management).
The ISEP training was supplemented with before and after role specific workshops to help the participants – from marketing and HR, to depot supervisors and senior sales roles to be able to implement sustainability and Speedy’s strategy in their area of influence.

How did we deliver value?
Through the ESG Business Partners Programme we translated Speedy Hire’s ESG strategy into actionable next-steps for senior leaders across all areas of Speedy Hire’s operations equipping them to able to discuss business-critical sustainability issues confidently with customers and clients.
The ESG Business Partners are now Associate members of ISEP and are future sustainability influencers for Speedy Hire’s business.
